The City of Mountain Brook Municipal Complex project consisted of demolition of the existing facilities and construction of new facilities totaling 45,000 sq ft to house the Mountain Brook Police Department, Mountain Brook Fire Station Number One, Mountain Brook Fire Department Administration, and Mountain Brook City Hall.

The Police Department consists of three levels and includes the city jail, locker rooms, administrative offices, evidence storage, dispatch, and other critical functions. Fire Station Number One includes a dormitory, day room, kitchen, training room, four truck and vehicle bays, administrative offices, and other support areas. The Police Department and Fire Station operate 24/7/365 and require emergency power and security. City Hall includes the city council chambers, various departmental offices, conference spaces, and a fire-safe vault and record storage area.

The project included a 24,000 sq ft, 62-space integrated parking structure that houses portions of the Police Department, Fire Department, and City Hall in addition to parking.
