GSA Lewiston & Peace Land Ports of Entry LED Signage

Lewiston, New York

Client:
U.S. General Services Administration

Project Size:
1,000 sq ft

This project for the U.S. Customs and Border Protection consists of the installation of 28 LED signs at two border crossings between New York and Canada. The high-visibility and energy-efficient LED signs near Buffalo and Lewiston, N.Y. will be located at the Lewiston Land Port of Entry and the other at the Peace Bridge facility, which connects downtown Buffalo to the Canadian city of Fort Erie in Ontario.

The LED signage upgrades offer easy-to-see and read bilingual signage that can be changed instantly as traffic dictates. Valuable instructions and information are provided to travelers as they approach the primary inspection stations, saving up to 20 seconds per vehicle transitioning through the port. This state-of-the-art technology is increasingly popular among Customs and Border Protection officials since the technology increases the functionality, energy efficiency, and overall safety of port operations.
