ABC Excellence in Construction Award of Excellence

The Columbus State University Student Recreation Center is a centerpiece of the university. This three-story, 103,000 sq ft student activities building features two basketball courts, two racquetball courts, an elevated running track, fitness rooms, a cardio workout area, a multi-activity court, a 40-foot climbing wall, and a 15,000 sq ft natatorium with two pools and a leisure area. The leisure area includes seating areas, a water volleyball court, and a lazy river.

The main concourse through the building provides gathering areas and visual access to the multiple functions inside. The facility includes a 7,000 sq ft multipurpose room for recreation and banquet use and a meeting room equipped with videoconferencing technology for general use.
