Brasfield & Gorrie’s scope of work for this project included multiple concrete foundation packages for Aleris’ Cold Mill Facility. The Cold Mill Phase 2 package included concrete foundations for the expansion of an existing aluminum rolling mill facility. Within a nine-week period, approximately 7,300 cu yds of concrete was placed, all self-performed by Brasfield & Gorrie. The CALP Line 1 equipment foundations package included 2,900 cu yds of equipment foundations for one of two new CALP (continuous annealing line with pre-treatment) lines being added to Aleris’ existing aluminum rolling mill facility.
