This 124,000 sq ft design-build processing facility is a conventional steel structure with metal siding and roofing. The facility features catwalks and an overhead crane installed along the full length of the building. Multiple rail spurs for transporting materials and finished product to and from the facility are also included. The processing facility houses the finishing stage of the pipe manufacturing process, including hydro testing, ultrasonic weld testing, and an area for weighing, measuring, and stenciling. Before the project, the facility produced raw steel pipe faster than it could be processed through the finishing stages. Completion of this project eliminated the bottleneck in the production process and doubled the facility’s processing capabilities.
